We will not quietly expand how we use your information. If Augura adds accounts, analytics, payment processing, connected workspaces, cloud AI processing, or a production product, we will update the relevant notice before that new processing begins.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the public Augura website, the early-access application, and the privacy-request form. “Augura,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to this early-stage project as operated by its founders, James Shechet and Andrey.
This policy does not yet govern a production Augura account, agent workspace, local-processing environment, paid service, or customer deployment. Those offerings are still under development and will require product-specific disclosures, agreements, and controls before launch.
2. Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
When you apply for early access, we collect your name, email address, and any description you provide about what you hope to build. When you submit a privacy request, we collect the contact information and request details needed to respond.
Interactive demo information
The founder-interview demo is a front-end simulation. Your selections and typed answers are processed temporarily in your browser so the demo can generate an on-screen result. Augura does not receive or store those answers, and the demo does not call an AI model.
Technical and hosting information
Like most websites, our hosting and form-processing provider may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring page, date and time, and security or anti-spam signals.
Cookies and analytics
Augura does not currently deploy third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioral advertising cookies on this site. Our hosting provider may use essential technologies needed to operate, secure, and prevent abuse of its services. If we add optional analytics or advertising technology later, we will update this policy and provide any legally required choices before doing so.
3. How we use information
We use information for the limited purposes described below:
- to review and respond to early-access applications;
- to communicate about cohort fit, onboarding, or a request you made;
- to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the website and forms;
- to prevent spam, fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- to answer privacy requests and maintain records of our response; and
- to comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Augura, applicants, and others.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we generally rely on steps you request before entering a relationship with us, our legitimate interests in operating and securing an early-stage website and evaluating applications, consent where we specifically ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.
Submitting an application does not subscribe you to a general newsletter or automated sales sequence. We will ask separately before using your email for unrelated marketing.
5. AI and model training
The current public website does not send demo responses to an AI model. We do not intentionally use early-access or privacy-request submissions to train a shared AI model, and we do not authorize service providers to use those submissions for their own model training except where a person separately and expressly agrees.
A future Augura product may offer local and cloud model options. Before processing customer content in that product, we will provide product-specific terms and privacy disclosures describing what data is processed, where it is processed, which providers are involved, available controls, retention, and model-training restrictions.
6. Retention
We generally retain early-access applications for no longer than 24 months after submission so we can evaluate cohort fit and follow up as the project develops. We may retain information longer when you enter an active relationship with us, ask us to keep it, or when necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping purposes.
We generally retain privacy-request records for up to 24 months after the request is closed. We then delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed. Hosting and security logs are retained according to our providers’ operational and legal requirements.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited information collected through this site. These include HTTPS, restrictive browser security headers, spam controls, limiting access to form submissions, and periodic deletion of data we no longer need.
No website or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not submit passwords, government identification numbers, payment-card data, bank information, medical information, or other highly sensitive data through our forms.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a decision about a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
You may also ask us not to contact you again. Because this site does not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, there is currently no separate “Do Not Sell or Share” mechanism. We do not override browser privacy signals with advertising or analytics tracking.
Submit a request using the form below. We may need to verify that you control the email address connected to the information before completing certain requests. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may request proof of authorization.
9. California disclosures
For transparency, the categories of personal information we may have collected in the preceding 12 months are: identifiers such as name, email, IP address, and device identifiers; professional or commercial information included in an application; internet or electronic activity information needed to operate and secure the site; and any information you voluntarily include in a form.
We collect these categories directly from you and automatically through our hosting and form providers. We use and disclose them for the purposes and to the recipients described in this policy. We have not sold these categories or shared them for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect or use sensitive personal information through this website for purposes requiring a right to limit its use.
10. International visitors
Augura and its primary service providers are based in the United States. Information may therefore be processed in the United States and other locations where providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an approved transfer mechanism or another lawful basis.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to address your concern.
11. Children
This website and the founding-cohort application are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child submitted information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, project, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice when reasonably required.
13. Contact and privacy requests
Use this form to ask a privacy question or request access, correction, deletion, or another applicable right. Please do not include identity documents or highly sensitive information in your initial message.
